Welcome to the Maine Board of Dental Examiners
You may renew your Dental, Denturist, Hygiene (IPH & RDH), or Radiography License on-line. You may also renew your EFA Certification, Local Anesthesia or Nitrous Oxide Permit.
Enter your license number beginning with professional suffix (e.g. DEN, DTR, EFA, IPH, LAN, NOX, RDH1234).
Your access code is available to you via your e-mail address or by calling the staff office at 207-287-3333
Under category be sure to select Dental Examiners
Staff is extremely busy during renewal periods so you are encouraged to perform a Licensee Search to check the status of your license.
If your renewal paperwork (Renewal Form, Fee, & CE log) has been received at the Staff Office, postmarked by December 31st of the year, you are still authorized to practice. If, however, you have not mailed your renewal paperwork, postmarked by December 31st, you cannot legally practice after that date. If you have a status of AY your license has been placed under Title 5 and you can continue to practice while waiting for the Board to act on your renewal.
Current renewal fees are $140 for an active Denturist or Hygiene (IPDH & RDH) license; $75 for an inactive license; and $16 for a Nitrous Oxide Permit.
